Cheerio bird feeders

After learning about animals in winter, the kids worked on making cheerio feeders to take home and put outside.  This allowed them to use their fine motor skills and have fun helping nature.

Station Rotations

What do your kids do while I am teaching small guided reading groups? They are at stations doing activities, such as buddy reading, writing, listening to stories on the iPad, computers, read to self, working with words, and stem boxes.

NED assembly

Today we had an awesome assembly about having a growth mindset, and learning about never giving up, especially if something is hard. NED stands for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. The kids did a great job of listening and participating. A lot of good information was presented to the kids.  Ask them to tell you about it!

Fire Safety

Today we had a visit from some local fire fighters.  They talked to the kids about fire safety, and then we went outside to check out the fire truck and ambulance. Each child is taking home a bag with an activity book, Jr fire fighter badge, and pencil.
