A Grinchy Day

Today was grinch day at school! We began the day by having 2 guest readers from student council read the book to the class. Later, we were served Who pudding. I taught my students a song about the Grinch that was sung to the tune of Jingle Bells. We wrapped up the day by having the whole school watch the cartoon version of The Grinch. It was lots of fun!

Columbus Children’s Theatre

Actors from the Columbus Children’s Theatre performed Sleeping Beauty last Monday. We are lucky enough to have them visit us each year and they always provide great entertainment for the kids. You could hear the laughter all the way down the hall!

Gingerbread fun

We have begun our gingerbread unit. We are reading several traditional stories about the gingerbread man and comparing and contrasting them. Next week, we will read alternative versions about the gingerbread girl, gingerbread pirates, gingerbread cowboy, and more! The kids have made their own gingerbread people and are writing about them. They are really being creative!
