Apple trees through the seasons

After reading the book, Arnold’s Apple Tree, the students spent time labeling and illustrating how an apple tree looks in each of the four seasons. They did a fantastic job and incorporated some of the additional touches and ideas from the read aloud by adding a swing, treehouse, and snowmen. We used tissue paper for the leaves in fall to add a little depth and texture to their artwork.

Mrs. Potato Head

The kids are working hard to earn pieces of Mrs. Potato Head. They earn one piece at a time when the entire class is working hard, receives a compliment from another teacher, or anything positive that the whole class is doing. We have 2 more pieces to go until she is built and then we will celebrate by playing games and having fun! After that, we will take her apart and try to rebuild her again.
